A 28-year-old woman was slashed with a box cutter inside the 86th Street subway station on the Upper East Side of New York City on February 15, around 6:15 p.m. According to the NYPD, the woman was approached by an individual who suddenly attacked her, slashing her across the left cheek and right eyebrow with a box cutter. Following the attack, the woman was transported to New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

The NYPD is actively searching for the person responsible for the assault. At the time of the report, the identity of the suspect was unknown, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear. Authorities continue to investigate the incident and are asking for any information from the public that could help identify the assailant.

Teen charged in fatal shooting of 17-year-old girl in Queens

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a teen girl in Queens over the weekend. The boy has been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. The girl, identified as Deaza Barkley from Brooklyn, was found with a gunshot wound to her head after police responded to a 911 call at a home in Holliswood, Queens, on Saturday night. EMS transported her to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding how Barkley ended up at the residence remain unclear, as she did not live there. The name of the 16-year-old boy has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.

A 79-year-old man was shot and killed by police outside the 111 Precinct in Bayside, Queens, on Tuesday night. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. when the man exited a car near the precinct and was approached by a uniformed officer. The man displayed a firearm and pointed it at the officer. Despite verbal commands to drop the weapon from the officer and additional officers who arrived at the scene, the man did not comply. Four officers then fired at the man multiple times. A loaded Cobra 38 special firearm was recovered, but the man did not fire a shot.

Officers administered CPR, and the man was transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The man was from Great Neck, Long Island, not from the city. The four officers involved sustained minor injuries. The investigation is still ongoing, and the cause of the confrontation remains unclear.

Police are currently searching for the suspect involved in a fatal stabbing during a fight in Far Rockaway, Queens. The deadly altercation took place around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday along Beach 13th Street. According to the NYPD, two men were involved in a knife fight but fled the scene before officers arrived. As the police canvassed nearby hospitals, they found 33-year-old Nilkinson L. Medina at St. John's Hospital, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead. Authorities are still working to determine the events that led up to the attack and are continuing their investigation into the case.

A person fired a gun at police officers executing a search warrant at the Vladeck Houses on Madison Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 5:10 a.m. when officers attempted to break down a door, and a person on the other side shot at them.

The officers did not return fire. One police officer was injured during the barricade situation, but it's unclear who fired the shot. The suspect later barricaded themselves inside the building and was eventually taken into custody. It remains unclear if anyone else was inside the building during the incident.
